Highlights, Comments and Questions
- There should be inter-bank connectivity in the clearing system. Banks should be able to do money market activities without using the central bank’s cheques.
- The Hardware aspect of the problem is not the real issue, what needs to be addressed is the attitude of people.
- Statistics quoted on Ghana’s economy is really frightening compared to that of other countries. To develop this country all individuals and institutions should be prepared to lend their support to move the country forward.
- The Banks and Financial Institutions should help through the provision of finances, support, education etc.
- A key resource of every nation is in identifying its people. A policy should therefore be put in place whereby every citizen is identified to allay the fears of institutions in the granting of loans.
- It is important for the Government to target the Private Sector to drive home some of its initiatives.
