Some of the key Comments & Contributions
  • For the country to develop socio-economically, it is important for all to embrace ICTs as the way forward.
  • There is the need to have a clear definition of ICTs and how exactly it could be of benefit to the ordinary Ghanaian and the country as a whole to improve socio-economic development.
  • It is important for the various groups and profession in the country to self-organize themselves to be able to present a common front on Policy issues.
  • There is the need for the Committee in the formulation of an ICT Policy for socio-economic development to touch base with the various sectors and harness their potential.
  • It is important for the various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to contribute to the growth of the society. This should be done through sponsorship in education etc.
  • The Government should tackle the issue of the Legal and Regulatory framework in the policy with the greatest urgency. This needs to be strengthened to check the excesses of some providers.
  • The necessary infrastructure must be put in place with the development of the necessary Human Resource capital for the country.
  • Training and re-training of all employees should be a vital part of development plans.
